DocViewer Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-22 · Raijin Labs

Summary

• There is no sign-up, login, advertising or analytics. Raijin Labs does not collect or store your personal information and does not run servers that receive your documents.

• Opening and editing documents happens only on your device.

• Exception: when you run text recognition (OCR), images of the relevant pages are sent to Google Cloud Vision (section 2).

This policy explains how information is handled in the DocViewer app for Android (package name kr.docviewer, the "App") provided by Raijin Labs ("we"). The Korean version is the governing text; this English version is provided for convenience.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the App. The App has no account or login, no advertising, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and we do not operate a server that receives data from the App.

2. Text recognition (OCR) and image transfer

The "text recognition" feature reads the text in scanned PDFs or photos so it can be searched and copied. It uses the internet and runs only when you start it.

3. Information stored only on your device

For convenience, the App stores the following only on your device, in app-private storage. It is never sent to us, is excluded from device backups, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

4. Permissions

PermissionPurpose
InternetUsed only by text recognition (OCR). The document rendering view is blocked from connecting to external addresses.

The App does not request access to all of your storage. It reads only files you pick or send to it with "Open" or "Share" from another app. The App has no camera permission; "Scan document" uses the scanning screen provided by Google Play services, and scans are saved on your device.

5. Payments

If paid features are offered, they are sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never receive your card number or other payment details. The App may check on the device the purchase information provided by Google Play (which product was bought and its status) to unlock features.

6. Crash information

The App has no crash-reporting code of its own. If you enable "Usage & diagnostics" on your device, Google may provide us, through Google Play, with crash information aggregated in a form that does not identify you, under Google's policies.

7. Sharing with third parties

We do not share personal information with third parties. If you use the App's "Share" feature to send a document to another app, that app's policies apply from then on.

8. Children

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request. Information stored on your device can be removed in the App or by uninstalling it. Questions are welcome at the address below.
